Nominations closing for inaugural Australian Space Awards
Submissions for Space Connect’s Australian Space Awards are flowing in, so get your nominations in ahead of entry nominations closing at the end of this week.

Held in March at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney, the black-tie gala event will showcase the nation’s best and brightest space businesses and professionals, while helping to support business growth and attract the best talent to the industry.
Space Connect is encouraging companies, academic institutions, industry organisations and individuals to get their nominations in ahead of this Friday’s deadline.
This inaugural awards platform is designed to recognise the professionals and organisations, the awards cover 20+ categories, including Academic Institution of the Year, Business of the Year - Large and Graduate Program of the Year, which are unique to the Australian Space Awards, focusing on all facets of the growing space industry.
Nominations are now open across eight individual awards and 14 company awards. To enter these awards, nominate a person, a business or yourself in the category most suited.
The email address used in the nomination will receive a confirmation email and instructions on how to formulate a submission – as well as tips for how to win.
Submissions must be provided online, but can be worked on offline. A typical submission could take two-three hours to complete.
Categories cover primes, SMEs, academic institutions and associations through to high-performing individuals such as defence executives, Indigenous and female leaders, students, scientists, technicians and academics.
The awards are open to all businesses operating in Australia supporting the space industry, including telecommunications, satellite, energy, mining and transport sectors as well as the defence, agriculture, disaster and water management industries.
Winning a Space Award will be a desirable accolade for both individuals and businesses seeking to forge their role in the space industry.
