Geoffrey R. Adams is the Senior Mission Architect of the Missile Defense product line, managed from L3Harris’ Fort Wayne, Indiana, location. Missile Defense is part of the Spectral Solutions Division within L3Harris Technologies Space and Airborne Systems segment. Space and Airborne Systems offers complete earth observation, weather, geospatial, space protection, and intelligence solutions from advanced sensors and payloads, ground processing, and information analytics.
Adams assumed the position in October 2022. His focus is ensuring operator input into program development projects, furthering cross-cutting ideas throughout the company, enhancing leadership activities, managing developmental programs, and implementing discrete business strategies. Missile Defense is one of three product lines in the Spectral Solutions business unit and is comprised of multiple program teams.
Previously, Adams served as the Deputy Commander for the Joint Force Component Command- Integrated Missile Defense at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. In this role, he was responsible for missile defense force posture recommendations, strategic communications, Allied engagements, and acquisition recommendations on behalf of the joint warfighter. Adams also was commissioned for twenty-seven years in the Army, serving in various missile defense operational and strategic roles in Joint and Service positions.
Adams holds a Master of Science in National Security and Resourcing Strategy from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School, a Master of Arts in Diplomacy from Norwich University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the United States Military Academy. He is certified in Defense Support of Civil Authorities.
