New national awards program to recognise Australia’s burgeoning space industry

Space Connect has unveiled a new awards program that aims to reflect and recognise Australia’s rapidly growing space industry, to be held in March next year.

The Australian Space Awards will recognise the leading professionals and businesses across all levels of the space industry, from our major conductors, SMEs, academic institutions and associations through to high-performing individuals such as space executives, students, scientists, rising stars and innovators.

The black-tie gala event will take place in March 2020 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney, and will showcase the depth of talent in Australia's space industry while affirming its essential role in supporting national security and driving innovation, economic growth and workforce development.

Sponsored by KBR, the night promises to be a "can't miss" event.

"I am delighted KBR is the Principal Partner of these inaugural awards. It's a great opportunity to both recognise and celebrate the calibre and quality of all of the award nominees," Rob Hawketts, vice president of KBR government solutions APAC, said.

"I look forward to seeing you all there."

Nominations for the Australian Space Awards are now live, with readers urged to nominate a colleague, business partner, sub-contractor or a business and take the first step to them being recognised as one of Australia’s top space industry professionals or businesses.

Nominating is easy and will take less than a minute; you can also nominate yourself. The awards are open to all businesses operating in Australia supporting the space supply chain.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this groundbreaking initiative and put your peers, colleagues or yourself forward for these coveted accolades.
