Future space cadets wanted: Myriota launches graduate program

Australian-based space start-up Myriota has launched a graduate program for Australian engineers interested in out-of-this-world careers.

Final year students looking for a career that is literally out of this world are invited to apply to the Myriota Graduate Program for positions commencing work 3 February 2020.

Myriota has full-time graduate trainee positions available across a range of areas, from electronics, software, aerospace and engineering to finance, marketing and business. Myriota is growing fast and expects to more than double in size to over 50 staff by the end of 2020.

Based in Adelaide's innovation neighbourhood Lot Fourteen, alongside the Australian Space Agency, Myriota is at the forefront of Australia’s growing space industry.

Dr Alex Grant, CEO of Myriota, welcomed applicants interested in getting involved with the rapidly growing Australian space sector, saying, "Careers in the space sector are wide ranging and full of exciting opportunities. There are many career options in the creative and business fields in addition to STEM roles, and we're looking for passionate and energetic team players who want to make a positive impact."

"Our philosophy is ‘Think Big’ – it’s the attitude that shapes our bold vision and hunger for innovation. It’s the way we see the world and what drives us to redefine space-based communications. We’re looking for diverse and talented team members who share this vision," Dr Grant added.

Myriota was founded to revolutionise the internet of things (IoT) by offering disruptively low-cost and long-battery-life global satellite connectivity. It was born from a genuine desire to connect remote areas that were previously left behind when it came to technological advancements.

Myriota’s world-first patented technology is making data accessible across a range of industries including agriculture, environmental monitoring, transport and logistics, maritime and defence.
