Australia and India are finding new ways to work together in space, according to a new statement released by the Australian High Commission, India and Bhutan.
High commissioner Philip Green recently attended Bengaluru Space Expo 2026, India’s premier space forum, alongside a 30-member Australian delegation and 12 innovative Australian space companies, showcasing the depth of Australia’s growing space sector.
“Australia and India are finding new ways to work together in space … From satellite technologies to launch capabilities,” the statement said.
“The Australian pavilion was buzzing with strong interest in Australian expertise, productive business discussions, new partnerships and the signing of several memorandums of understanding.
“Speaking at the expo, high commissioner Green highlighted how Australia and India’s complementary strengths are creating new opportunities in the space sector, combining Australia’s unique geography and specialised space technologies, with India’s world-class engineering expertise and manufacturing capability.”
The initiative is being supported by the Australian government, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Space Agency.
