Myriota chief executive and co-founder Dr Alex Grant said the company is thrilled at the news they will be neighboured by the Space Agency.
"With the goal of positioning Australia as an international leader in specialised space capabilities, the agency's move here will see us further cement deep relationships to the Australian government and its space focused policy makers," Dr Grant said.
"Historically, companies who wanted to be close to the government previously needed to have a Canberra office. The move shows just how passionate the agency is about bolstering the industry Australia wide."
Space innovation has an established history in South Australia, with Australia's first satellite launched from Woomera in the 1960s.
Dr Grant said that his company is "truly reflective of South Australia as the home of deep space technology, and we applaud the government for seeing the impact that we are having on Australian industries including agriculture and defence".
