Economic survey to measure growth of Australian space sector

Stephen Kuper
Economic survey to measure growth of Australian space sector

The Australian Space Agency has launched a survey to track the progress of the organisation and achieve its objective of growing the Australian space sector to $12 billion and creating another 20,000 jobs by 2030.

The survey aims to track the progress and measure the contribution of space activities within the Australian economy – the Australian Space Agency is encouraging organisations contributing to the space industry to complete the survey conducted by independent consultancy, the Nous Group.

With rapid industry growth, there are many opportunities for Australian involvement and we expect to become an important part of the global space supply chain.

The agency plays an important role in ensuring Australia is ready and globally connected to make the most of these opportunities.

Nous Group is responsible for conducting the survey – the results of the survey will help develop a strong economic baseline to measure growth and will inform the agency’s future strategic direction.

Nous Group may have already contacted your company directly to fill in the survey. Before starting the survey, please check your organisation has not already contributed to avoid duplication.

The agency will store the data that Nous Group will collect and analyse in line with the Department of Industry's privacy policy. Any published results will be de-identified and aggregated to prevent re-identification.

Information gathered by this survey will be retained and may be used for similar future activities run by the agency and its representatives.
