PROMOTED CONTENT

To be eligible for this award, the nominee must be an Australian business, organisation or institution (or a division of a global business that is registered to trade in Australia) that has a focus on supporting the Australian space supply chain. It is open to all businesses trading from 1 January 2021.

The period of assessment is the calendar year 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. All information will be treated as confidential and only shared with the specific judges who assess this category.

How to address the assessment criteria

In your submissions, provide responses of a maximum of 400 words per question to three questions.

The first question asks entrants to detail an outstanding innovation or innovations and explain why it is a new development or alternative in their market. Alongside this, they must highlight the rationale or development behind the innovation and how it has overcome a challenge or supported a potential opportunity.

Following this, you must outline how this has benefited the space industry and/or contributed to the growth and financial performance of your business or organisation as a whole, with reference, where relevant, to specific data or case studies.

Finally, detail how you promote a culture of innovation within your organisation, who is responsible for this, and what impact this has had on your workplace.

Furthermore, explain how this has contributed to the wider space profession or industry outside of the specific work outlined above.

In unison with this, entrants must include the following details in their submission:

  • What is your ABN?
  • When did your business start trading? Please provide the month and year.
  • How many full-time and part-time employees do you have in your business?

Move your submission up a notch

In addition to answering the questions, entrants are encouraged to provide and refer to any attached supporting material for the judges’ consideration.

This could include financial or business metrics, images, statistics, transcripts, media coverage, accolades, testimonials or recommendations/references and other relevant information.

You may submit a maximum of four supporting documents unless directly requested. If the documents are not directly referenced and relevant to your submission, they will be disregarded.

Besides these supporting documents, we also encourage you to submit an optional video of up to 30 seconds long, answering the question: “What does business success mean to you?”

Winning this award will offer peer-reviewed recognition for a company and their contribution to propelling Australia's space industry forward.
