Finalists revealed for Australian Aviation Awards 2025

More than 190 finalists have been unveiled in this year’s Australian Aviation Awards.

Run in support of Principal Partner UNSW Sydney, the fourth annual Australian Aviation Awards celebrate the individuals and businesses shaping Australia’s aviation sector.

A total of 194 finalists have been selected out of hundreds of submissions for the prestigious awards.

Finalists include executives, aviators, trainers, technologists, technicians and crew, as well as students, academics, and large and small businesses.

Some of the individual finalists include representatives from Airbus, Babcock, Maroomba Airlines, and Newcastle Airport.

In the group categories, finalists include RMIT University, Newcastle Airport, Star Aviation, and Safran Helicopter Engines Australia.

The worthy finalists will battle it out for trophies across the 11 individual and 18 group categories at the award ceremony later this year. The highest-scoring individual winner will be given the coveted Excellence Award.

The awards ceremony will offer aviation professionals a rare opportunity to network amongst the industry’s best and brightest – from rising stars through to industry leaders.

The Australian Aviation Awards is designed to highlight the achievements of leading aviation professionals. The awards program offers finalists the chance to gain recognition for their achievements and capitalise on the national exposure of the awards to advance their careers.

The Australian Aviation Awards, in conjunction with event stakeholders Momentum Media, Australian Aviation, and a panel of leading aviation professionals, have developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading aviation professionals and businesses.

The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence and contribution to Australia’s aviation sector.
