Australasian Centre for Space Governance launches new look website, strategy

The Australasian Centre for Space Governance has officially announced the launch of a new look website, designed to reflect new growth in the sector and the centre’s new strategy.

The Australasian Centre for Space Governance (ACSG) was established to advocate for responsible laws, norms and policies on space activities, as well as promote sustainability, security and shared prosperity across the Asia-Pacific

“We’re excited to announce the launch of our new website, featuring a fresh visual identity and updated design that reflects our growth and evolving direction,” an ACSG spokesperson.

“The site showcases our new status as a not-for-profit organisation that advocates for responsible laws, norms and policies on space activities, to foster sustainability, security and shared prosperity across the Asia-Pacific.

“The new site brings together our latest expert publications, direct access to our Spotify podcast (led by Amelia Taylor), our new organisational principles, an expanded board and details on upcoming events featuring both domestic and international experts.

“The redesign brings together our research and outreach in one accessible space, making it easier to explore how we’re shaping conversations on space, security, sustainability and society across Australasia and beyond.”

The ACSG has recently announced the release of a 2025 Australian Public Attitudes to Space Survey by experts Tristan Moss, Kathryn Robison and Aleksandar Deejay in partnership with United States Studies Centre and UNSW Canberra.

The comprehensive national study was launched to explore the extent of Australian recognition of space’s importance to national security, the economy and science.

Results reportedly showed that many civilians felt under-informed about domestic space activities, however there was strong support for developing sovereign capability, strengthening alliances and establishing clearer communication about how space benefits everyday life.
