NASA awards CPSS contract to Manufacturing Technical Solutions

The Alabama-based company has secured a contract to provide program support services to the space agency.

NASA has selected Manufacturing Technical Solutions (MTS) to provide the Consolidated Program Support Services (CPSS) — Program, Planning, and Control (PP&C) — at its Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama and its Johnson Space Center in Texas.

MTS has been tasked with delivering these services in a range of different fields, including:

  •  integration;
  • earned value management;
  • cost estimating and cost analysis;
  • resource data storage and retrieval library; and
  • scheduling, and risk management.

MTS will also be responsible for providing NASA with programmatic subject matter experts.

The potential mission services value of the performance-based contract is approximately US$67.4 million ($87.3 million), with a maximum indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) value of US$462.5 million ($600 million).

The one-year contract begins on 1 September 2021, followed by four one-year option periods that may be exercised at NASA’s discretion.
