Insights Horizon aims to focus on time delivery to transform satellite imagery into accessible, mission-ready insights to enable expedited decision making for maritime and land-based security operations.
Traditionally, limited data availability and slow image processing has compromised the success of a mission, leaving operations vulnerable to piracy, smuggling and other significant security threats.
“In today’s complex security environment, the speed at which intelligence reaches decision makers can mean the difference between mission success and failure. Insights Horizon was purpose-built to shorten the TCPED cycle, giving defence organisations the rapid, reliable intelligence they need to make confident decisions in real time,” PCI Geomatics chief executive officer June McAlarey said.
The solution is expected to address key operational challenges faced by ministries of defence and government security agencies, particularly in monitoring expansive border regions where traditional patrol assets cannot maintain continuous coverage.
By processing satellite imagery at scale, Insights Horizon enables organisations to cut through the noise, identify patterns, detect anomalies and task higher-value assets more effectively.
The solution’s cloud-based architecture enables parallel processing of multiple surveillance areas simultaneously, a critical capability when defence organisations need to monitor several high-priority zones at once.
To process massive volumes of satellite data in parallel, Insights Horizon is built on the foundation of proven AI-enabled solutions and algorithm expertise that are sensor agnostic, supporting synthetic aperture radar, electro-optical and aerial imagery to achieve persistent monitoring capabilities, slashing time-to-insight for mission-critical operations.
Core capabilities include maritime domain awareness, land-based border monitoring, pattern recognition, sensor-agnostic data processing and flexible deployment.
CATALYST is actively engaging with government agencies and ministries of defence in Canada and Europe, particularly eastern and central Europe, where proximity to emerging threats has intensified demand for advanced border monitoring capabilities. Tailored solutions are also being developed with defence integrators and border security agencies through trusted partner networks.
“The current geopolitical landscape has created an urgent need for sovereign intelligence capabilities. Insights Horizon provides defence organisations with an off-the-shelf solution that can be rapidly deployed and customised to their specific operational requirements, without starting from scratch,” said Kevin Jones, chief product officer at PCI Geomatics.
