Submit an entry or nominate a colleague by Monday, 4 March 2024, to contest for this individual award.

It champions an individual who has most effectively shaped their business’ success while supporting the strength of Australia’s space economy through their participation in the space industry.

Those who can demonstrate that they have effectively capitalised on market opportunities and driven growth while supporting the strengthening of Australia’s space economy will increase their chances of becoming a finalist in this category.

It is open to any individual at any career level and age who has demonstrated a commitment to excelling professionally and has made a positive contribution to the industry and is on a rapid career trajectory.

PROMOTED CONTENT

Professionals across all areas of the space industry are urged to submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague today. These include those in primes, small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), university or research institutions, consultancies, industry associations, or any other space business.

The period of assessment for the submissions is from 1 January to 31 December 2023.

Entrants must meet the assessment criteria in their submissions by answering a range of questions, ensuring that they limit the responses to a maximum of 400 words per question.

The first question asks entrants to detail outstanding work over the calendar year 2023, and their approach to leadership, diversity, and inclusion, as well as how it influences their actions and activities in their business or organisation.

Following this, entrants must outline the steps they have consciously taken to stand out from their peers, and the results of their efforts.

Next, they can showcase their achievements by highlighting any major successes, milestones, or initiatives they have developed in their business and why it was important.

Entrants will also be asked to list the major challenges they encountered while undertaking and completing their work, how they overcame them, and what the key benefits or utility of their work are.

Finally, candidates must demonstrate the strategies and tactics they applied to generate new business, increase existing business, or develop new opportunities for their organisation.

Supporting documents can enhance a submission

Entrants can strengthen their submissions by providing and referring to any attached supporting material for the judges’ consideration.

This could include financial or business metrics, images, statistics, transcripts, media coverage, accolades, testimonials or recommendations/references and other relevant information.

You may submit a maximum of four supporting documents, unless directly requested otherwise.

If the documents are not directly referenced and relevant to your submission, they will be disregarded.

On top of the four supporting documents, entrants can submit an optional short video of up to 30 seconds long answering the question: “What does business success mean to you?”

To be eligible for this award, you must own or be employed in an Australian business, organisation, or institution (or a division of a global business that is registered to trade in Australia) that is focused on supporting the Australian space industry.
